Z or Super? Hell, why not both??
I posted this on my twitter already but when I write Bardock (in RPs or fics), I make his personality a combination of Z and Super. I loved the edgy grit that Z had to him, and how he was a morally grey character that did genuinely terrible things. Going around, killing people, selling planets, the usual Saiyan business. I also liked that he DIDN’T care for Goku at first. However, I also really liked that Bardock was a GOOD HUSBAND and FATHER in Super. I imagine Super to be like… post Goku-birth, but he spends more time around Gine. Hence, he’s gotten softer. Even Gine (canonically) found it odd that Bardock keeps checking up on Goku in the incubator.
So, because of that, Bardock is seen as a “I don’t really care but I totally do” type-of-guy. A tough love father and grandfather. Has a good heart, but will drop DAD LORE about what he did over a beer or something.
i just think that’s neat haha
also, in case if anyone cares: YES. BARDOCK KEEPS THE BANDANA.
